[ARCHIVED] URGENT INFORMATION FROM THE WEST MEMPHIS UTILITIES

West Memphis Utilities Disconnect Notice

Updated June 22, 2020

Our number one priority remains to protect our customers and employees while continuing to provide electric, water and sewer services to the community.

In March, West Memphis Utilities implemented its COVID Pandemic Relief Plan. To better serve our customers, the plan included the suspension of disconnections for all customers including suspending all late fees through the month of May. During this time, while services were not disconnected, bills continued to accrue and we encouraged customers to make payments if possible.
As our community begins to reopen, the West Memphis Utilities must now resume our normal policies, as many utilities across the country have done. Customer disconnects will resume Tuesday, June 23 on past due accounts. To avoid any service interruptions please pay your past due balance by Tuesday, June 23.

We offer several payment options: By Mail, After hours drop off (604 East Cooper, West Memphis) and Online Bill Pay: https://billpay.citywm.com/billpay.php

π™‰π™€π™©π™š: If your services are currently or get disconnected due to non-payment, do not use the online payment service. Please come to the office at 604 East Cooper, West Memphis, AR to provide payment.

Financial Insecurity due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides eligible households with help in paying utility bills. The program pays benefits of fixed amounts based on household income. An additional benefit is available to eligible households having a high energy burden.

Eligibility is based on annualized income and the number of members in the household. The Summer program will assist with regular electric bills or shut off notices.  All payments are made directly to the vendor.

Special provisions are made for those households whose utility cost is included in their rent and those living in subsidized housing
