The West Memphis Police Department Records Division is responsible for the maintenance, storage, and release of all police reports and related material, as well as taking walk-in complaints.
The records division is dedicated to providing the highest quality customer service to the public. We strive to achieve the highest standards of organization so that records defined as public information can be made available for inspection and copying, while maintaining confidentiality of information exempt from release.
Copies of incident and vehicle collision reports may be obtained in person during normal business hours or by mail, requests will not be returned by e-mail or fax.

You must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Requests need to have as much information of the incident as possible, name of person involved, type of incident, time and date, location and type of vehicles.
- Motor collision reports have a $10.00 fee and may be paid with check or money order if by mail. Walk-ins may pay with check, money order, or cash. Make checks payable to the West Memphis Police Department. (No credit or debit cards are accepted)
- Walk in hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm CST.
VIN verifications are conducted on Tuesday and Thursdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm for residents of the City of West Memphis who have recently purchased a vehicle. VIN verifications are not done for non-residents, agents, or dealerships.
