Mayor McClendon and the City of West Memphis has named Tori Perry as the city’s new finance director.
Mrs. Perry joined the City of West Memphis’ Finance Department in June of 2018 as a Senior Accountant, working closely with former Finance Director, Frank Martin who served in that position for over 20 years. Perry will direct and supervise the financial operation and reporting of all municipal funds, audit, cash management, and debt management for the City of West Memphis and the West Memphis Utilities. "I am confident Mrs. Perry will provide the strategic financial tools that will continue to ensure a strong financial future for the city of West Memphis,” said Mayor McClendon. Mrs. Perry earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Memphis. Perry enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, CJ, and son, Jordan. I am honored to accept this new opportunity with the city," Perry said. "I love serving our residents, and look forward to working collaboratively with the mayor and the council to continue the great work that Mr. Frank has done for the past 20 years.”
The Finance Department is responsible for the safekeeping, accounting and management of the financial operations of the City in accordance with the City’s municipal code, policies, and state and federal statutes. The Department processes cash receipts, payroll and accounts payable, invests the City’s funds, prepares and monitors the City’s budget and coordinates the City’s financial audits. In addition, the Department provides fiscal support to the public, the City Council, the City Manager and other City departments and commissions.
